Tim Tebow hits three-run home run on first pitch at Double-A

Tim Tebow wasted no time.
The Mets outfielder, who was making his season debut at Double-A Binghamton, clubbed a three-run home run on the first pitch he saw, giving the Rumble Ponies a 5-0 lead.
Tebow received the unlikely promotion coming out of spring training, with Mets GM Sandy Alderson saying he thinks the former quarterback will eventually reach the major leagues. A team source told the News this spring that Tebow’s arrival in Queens could come as soon as this September, when MLB rosters expand.
