The Kingdom of Judah (Hebrew:מַמְלֶכֶת יְהוּדָה‎, Mamlekhet Yehuda) was a state established in the Southern Levantduring the Iron Age, after the split of theUnited Monarchy. It is often referred to as the "Southern Kingdom" to distinguish it from the northernKingdom of Israel.
