2 my former step-sister(current Big Sister) SEF i love you sew sew sewwww much & your unexpected return has given me the grace to weep both joyfully & mournfully. I have waited + waited + waited 33yrs of your absence isa(911) finally over. Now my new life is finally starting to take shape & with you back along with your family & your girls that means i, too hav 2 new daughters. I am truly amazed at your bravery & courage. You were in that house of horrors with me & we both survived for too many reasons to count. We made it out of there alive & even tho my Dad is still the same monster/demon/devil. that he was, hearing your voice & seeing your wonderful bee u ttt i fullll eyes & smile wat i feel right now just made allll of that terror worth it >:) We can nevvvvverrr go back butttt going forward will be a whole new chapter 4 our families yay!!! Our Mom can now rest peacefully NNN(555) Joyfully bc you hav fulfilled her living + dying wish >:) I am so sorry for the hurt, pain NNN(555) grief my "father" brought to your family he brought it to my family as well only there was never any escaping his wrath for me. I was stuck/trapped/hidden there tormented & abused. I am having a difficult time evennn writing this out bc the memories are too traumatic to recall much less to have to face sum one who's "father" destroyed our Mom >:(:::: she gave her heart + her soul + she was a fighter, a defender & she would always go to bat for me. Omg im sorry & i love you....
I hope moving thru this hand + hand together with Mom we can all finally heal & close this ugly pain trauma filled chapter & start a"@" new >:)::::
2 Miss Patsy aka Mom i miss you & love you & thank you for helping me fight for my life. I had noooo idea wat or who we were up against but you nevvvvverrr back down from "Chatty" or hesitated to rescue me from deaths clutches >:(::: i am deeply sorry you had to giv your life up for me & scottie to evennn hav a shot at a life. I know your presence has been a driving spiritual force in my life & now i hope youre smiling bc your kids have all been found & returned. I too feel a sense of closure & vindication. We can all heal sum verrrriiii deep wounds with love bc i know you loved me. I absolutely knew it then too. Thank you Momma Patsy >:):::

Joy is a state of mind and an orientation of the heart. It is a settled state of contentment, confidence and hope. It is something or someone that provides a source of happiness. It appears 88 times in the Old Testament in 22 books; 57 times in the New Testament in 18 books.^[1]^
Webster's dictionary definition: 1) to experience great pleasure or delight : REJOICE, 2) the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires: DELIGHT. Hebrew dictionary definition: 8057. simchah, sim-khaw'; from H8056 blithesomeness or glee, (religious or festival):-- X exceeding (-ly), gladness, joy (-fulness), mirth, pleasure, rejoice (-ing).
Greek dictionary definition: 5479. chara, khar-ah'; from G5463; cheerfulness, i.e., calm delight:--gladness, X greatly, (X be exceeding) joy (-ful, -fully, -fulness, -ous).

Christians should always find reasons to be joyful. There are many ways to define joy. Joy isn't just a smile or a laugh. Joy is something that is deep within and doesn't leave quickly. When we have the joy of the Lord, we'll know it and so will others. Since joy is given by God and something that He wants us to have, we need to be joyful! In addition to being joyful, we should let others have their joy and not bring them down when they are excited about good things.The only thing worse than not having joy is stealing someone else's.^[1]^
Spending eternity in Heaven with God, the saints and the angels is something incredible! Ask for joy! If we can't find reasons to be joyful, our perspective must change. God lets us have blessings every day. We should be able to see them and thank God for them. Additionally, we should ask for God's blessings! Some think they should be blessed with joy automatically, but God's Word says "you have not because you do not ask." (John 15:16) ^[1]^ God's Holy Spirit produces joy. Joy is a product of Christ-likeness. When we seek God through His Word and prayer, we will receive joy! Thank God that joy is something He wants us to have!
Joy is the second "fruit of the Spirit," according to Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is...joy...."
Reading the scriptures will bring us joy! "And these things we write to you that your joy may be full." (1 John 1:4) We will also see where the Bible gives us specific times to be joyful. Lastly, I've listed ways that God has given me joy! If you're lacking, pray and try some! Enjoy this lesson and God bless you!
